How to fill in a PDF form on your computer
Many applications, declarations and official forms are published as interactive PDF forms with fields to fill in. Instead of printing them and writing by hand, type your details straight into the fields and save the finished file.
- Load the form
Drop a PDF file with form fields.
- Fill in the fields
Click a field on the page preview and type the value. Tick checkboxes, radio buttons and list items.
- Decide about flattening
Flattening turns the entered values into ordinary page content that can no longer be changed.
- Download the filled-in PDF
Save the file, ready to send or print.
When to flatten the form
Flatten the form before sending it if you don’t want anyone to change the entered data, or when the recipient uses a program that displays form fields badly.
A form without fields?
If the PDF is just a scan of a paper form with no active fields, open it in the PDF editor and add text with the “Add text” tool in the right places.

Yes – after saving, use the Sign PDF tool.
Is the data I enter stored anywhere?
No. You fill in the form in your browser and the data is not sent to a server.
